As raindrops froze one by one
Imagine yourself to climb up
Stepping stones of happiness
Ethereal enchantment.
Teardrops froze on the cheeks
Leaving their footsteps
Etched forever as scars
Deep withing the heart.
Memories flow, freeze, but
They never evaporate…..
hmmm, ‘rain drops, tear drops and memories’, a nice combination!! excellent one, mani

The leaf fit the title but I felt the Haiku was much more “connected” than “disjointed.” You really wrote this excellent natural wonders haiku.

Reminded me of a song Memories never Die which happens to be a title track of a malayalam movie. Also reminded me of a poem I wrote long time back….Memories never evaporate. 🙂
Good one!

Aare, YouTube is blocked at work 😛 (Sadist people)
But it’s easy, search memories never die from the movie Memories. The song is English though a malayalam movie. 😀

Lovely contrast, Maniparna. Loved the way you juxtaposed them. Btw, what happened to that story? Has the concluding part been published?

A beautiful poem… May those frozen droplets soon melt as we learn to let them go back into the ether keeping only the traces of their salt… A substance we all need in our lives.. Joy…. and Pain……
Lovely poetry and theme..

Thanks, Sue 🙂 True, we need no accept life as it comes, but then again, sometimes, we do look back ….memories..smiles and tears as well…

I especially liked the bits about memories, although I have some I wish would evaporate (such my struggles with mathematics in high school).

Hehe..we all want a part of our memories to evaporate. 😀 But, they are so stubborn! Mathematics was okay…I dreaded physics 😦 the worst nightmare…

Physics had a worrying amount of mathematics in it for me, but at least it was about something, which made it a bit easier to visualize. I always found mathematical concepts just sort of floated about in the ether.
Anyway, it sounds like we both bear the scars of our years at high school. 🙂

I always think of in this way when it comes to memories. You ought to remember those which you want to forget most…memories are stubborn.. 🙂 Thanks a lot, Jackie…
