This was dope. Memories and deja vu; are definitely like intricate webs. One smell, touch, taste or dream; can trigger an avalanche of memories and emotions. The picture complimented the poem too.
I don’t know about nostalgia. I keep going because needs be. On the other hand, if I always do what I always did, I will get what I always got. A friend doesn’t agree. She’s in her 40’s, has not worked for a very, very long time, she still lives at home and relies on her 80’s father to support her and her partner. They are English. Well, we all different. I cannot lead that kind of life. I have had many challenges but I am also grateful, humbled and I feel very privileged for the help, support and generousity from complete strangers.
I enjoyed how you wrote about a spider web and thoughts — the connection there brings to mind the neurons in the brain which have a similar pattern as spider webs. Excellent metaphor!
Just when I was writing couple of posts relating to the times gone by, these verses add vibrancy to those lovely fond memories stashed away carefully in the minds!
That’s a very lovely poem. I do sometimes revisit the wishes I once had. (In fact I wrote a post about it once.) I was surprised how childish so many of my wishes were. I shouldn’t have been, of course. I mean, I was a child at the time I wished them. 😀
Cleverly written my friend, I feel all of us at one time or another feel nostalgia for those places and memories we often wish to revisit. ❤

Indeed, memories create a world for us which we are familiar with. Hence they provide us a sense of security.

Nostalgia truly is when flowing memories of past events congeal into colourful clots. Your poem brings it out beautifully…

Most of the time, I’m enveloped in the cocoon of nostalgia, remembering days and events and associating them with each other.
A lovely post!

Riding the thought waves to revisit the past – that feeling surfaces once in a while. 🙂 Nicely presented Maniparna.
