Nostalgia

Collecting pieces of the past
Thought waves, thought webs
Drops of memories, congealed
Revisiting the wishes, we once had
Making us feel at home
With nostalgia……….

  1. This was dope. Memories and deja vu; are definitely like intricate webs. One smell, touch, taste or dream; can trigger an avalanche of memories and emotions. The picture complimented the poem too.

  2. I don’t know about nostalgia. I keep going because needs be. On the other hand, if I always do what I always did, I will get what I always got. A friend doesn’t agree. She’s in her 40’s, has not worked for a very, very long time, she still lives at home and relies on her 80’s father to support her and her partner. They are English. Well, we all different. I cannot lead that kind of life. I have had many challenges but I am also grateful, humbled and I feel very privileged for the help, support and generousity from complete strangers.

  4. That’s a very lovely poem. I do sometimes revisit the wishes I once had. (In fact I wrote a post about it once.) I was surprised how childish so many of my wishes were. I shouldn’t have been, of course. I mean, I was a child at the time I wished them. 😀
