Staying Healthy With Thyrocare

With the passage of time, our roles in the family change. The authoritative parents, taking care of us gradually become our friends and then, a time comes when the role gets reversed.
We become their guides and guardians. They depend on us on certain issues, the most prominent of them being health. My mom has a mild problem with hypertension and thyroid and, we keep on doing routine check-ups and clinical tests regularly. She prefers doing all the tests from a particular lab in our locality. A few months back, somehow, the lab officials misplaced one of her reports with someone else’s. They apologized the very next day, but mom took the repetition of the mistake for granted.
She firmly declared her disbelief over their reputation and, so it happened that I was frantically searching for another reputed, authentic, affordable clinical lab a week before as the date for the scheduled check was approaching.

Of course, there are countless, but the genuineness and credibility matter. I found a few, but they were far away from our place and, the cost of service provider for home service was exorbitant. I zeroed on a particular one, but unfortunately, one of the tests needed for mom was not available there.

Just at that time, one of my friends told me about Thyrocare. He had generous words about their service but still, I wanted to do my research before going for it.

My research reveals some facts about Thyrocare, which I think, are pretty impressive. Thyrocare is India’s first and most advanced Totally Automated Laboratory having over 1200 branches across India. I think the nationwide reach has an advantage here. It means you can avail the service from the same brand even if you change cities.

Thyrocare operates with a Centralized Processing Laboratory. Apart from that, it has Regional Processing Units in major metro cities and other parts of Asia. Even for small towns and cities, quality is always ensured as each sample reaches the lab by the midnight of the same day it is collected through their unique air cargo logistics.

As far as my experience is concerned, Thyrocare has a seamless flow of service. You can book a test by any means; website, call, WhatsApp, email. Once you share the NAPME (Name, Address, PIN Code, Mobile, Email) details, you will receive a call from their end for sample collection. Coordination is made according to your convenience for collecting the blood sample by the authorized person.

The reports are generated withing 48 hours and, an auto-generated mail is sent to the customer. However, in case you need a hardcopy, the same will be delivered by a Thyrocare Service Provider on an additional payment of INR 35.

The adage goes prevention is better than cure. So believes Thyrocare. They provide preventive care tests at a highly affordable cost as compared to other reputed brands. Moreover, the leniency and turn around time for appointment and sample collection service are added advantages. The customer support service works pretty well in case you need any information.

Thyrocare is one of the first Indian diagnostic laboratories to obtain internationally renowned quality accreditations like ISO 9001-2000 rating as early as 2001, which is now escalated to ISO 9001:2008; NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) in 2005 and CAP (College of American Pathologists) certification in 2007.

I learnt another thing. Preventive health care is of utmost importance. There’s no harm spending a few bucks today than blowing a hundred thousand tomorrow on our health issues and simple tests. Thyrocare’s Arogyam package helps to keep many a disease at bay without shelling out your fortune.

Advanced technology, a nationwide reach, certified lab ensuring quality health check up services at affordable costs- that being their mantra, Thyrocare Wellness is helping millions of customers living a healthy life.

My mom is now one of them. She is happy with Thyrocare.

  1. Hi,
Maniparna your story was really good in terms that it changed my mind about healthcare in India.

I live in Canada where we are blessed with Good healthcare system as I’ m second generation Indian Canadian and this year was first time I was visiting my native place near Pune.

When I was here I was searching for a diagnostic health care center after my relative has having weight issues and weakness.

After reading this blog and doing some research online I decided to go with Thyrocare . I downloaded the app and done all the tests .
My relative was diagnosed with Low Iron count and this was crucial detecting the cause of weakness.

My experience with Thyrocare was good and the test I received after 48 hours were accurate.
It was good experience and the customer care was helpful in making the process happen smoothly .
Thank you for such helpful review !!

  2. Spot on with the ‘preventive care’ idea, Maniparna. In most of the health issues including thyroid condition timely blood work done and the necessary medication started will prevent any health deterioration. Good share.

  3. I hope your Mom continues to be pleased with Thyrocare Maniparna.. We in the UK take so much this kind of lab testing for granted as its all done automatically through the National Health Service provider when we get our bloods done .. It makes one very grateful for the services we have in the UK…

A very interesting article.. and I hope you mom continues in good health ..Wishing you a wonderful week 🙂
