Prowess of the mind
Wink of the destiny
Thy name is success
Sweet and shiny.
Consecration,
It demands.
Ambition,
Soaring high.
Ecstasy,
It brings.
Jubilance,
Fills the sky.
Failure,I must remind
Is the condiment
That brings
Flavour
To the broth
Thy name is success
You tame
Failure
With your
Indomitable
Wrath.

Okay – to honor your request!
Come failure, we will antagonize
And always lament
The silver lining of opulent riches
We couldn’t see.
Come success, we will climb the steps
And never turn back
Downtrodden, ugly past
Isn’t ours.

Beautiful poem! When we achieve success or experience failure in different time frames we need to remember the wisdom of King Solomon’s parable “This too shall pass”!

Love the acknowledgement that failure plays a part in success, if even just to anger us enough to push forward. Emotion, obstacles and strategies to overcome them is the spice of drama too. And spice in broth–YUM! Makes me return to the kitchen again and again.
