Tree Love

…and when the gossamer layer of mist clung to the earth
and, the sun was bidding goodbye to the land
and, the susurration of the leaves created music
and, the branches sheltered the earthlings
and, the empty benches waited for a warm body
…and, then the tree welcomed the evening.

  1. Ohhhh, this is lovely Maniparna. I really like that word, ‘susurration’. I may just have to write a poem myself using that word 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration – hehe ❤

  3. As always masterly art of picking the words and placing it in the empty branches of tree, you do so beautifully and the picture is deeply mystical and the mist and the sky giving the evening farewell to the Sun God and the trees in that zone of transition and there is so much in the surrounding and it instantly evokes our slumbered emotions and also it needs our mind to deftly maneuver in the right direction and get into the groove of reflection on life around the passing time and growing trees. The metaphor and the nature. Beautifully written verse.
    Have a wonderful weekend Mani.

  7. …and the mesmerising music of your words spin magic around us, creating a scenario of serenity that allures with its imagery! Beautifully penned Mani, it transported me to my favorite resort, surrounded by cedar trees.
