It’s not an easy job to spin a story with the least words possible. It’s quite challenging and, that’s precisely the reason micro tales or twittering tales attract me. Just a couple of days ago, I came across such a tale on Radhika’s wonderful blog. The link shared by her took me to Kat Myrman’s blog.
I was at once hooked by Kat’s photo prompt and the challenge of weaving a story in 140 characters or less!
Here is my response to Kat’s photo prompt for Twittering Tale #36.
His attacker was right behind, chasing him. He was rising up fast. “I would rather finish myself than to succumb”, he whispered.

Nicely done Mani … a rather awkward position/choice to find oneself confronted with.

Ooooh. Bit of a cliffhanger here. O wonder if he made it away or if he got caught up. You can only go far. Sometimes the rest depends on luck. Great write as always, Mani 😊

I agree with you Mani, it is very challenging to compose anything worthwhile within a given word limit, a skill which I have taught painstakingly to my students but could hardly learn myself!
Your story is a wonderful effort! 🙂

Haiku also requires minimum words, As you’ve already exhibited your great skill with haiku poems, I think, you would find it quite easy… 🙂
