She savoured the smell of tobacco, wafting through the air
His dreamy, cerulean eyes, as they spoke to her, with care That eyes could speak, that hearts could hear She smiled, with a single drop of tear. Memories, O memories, how insane they are Figments of imagination, of love gone afar.
I love both of these but I really loved Full Moon though the comments section was closed I wanted you to know. You are as beautiful a writer as your picture, and that is saying something. You are natural my friend.
Your poems speak so beautifully, Mani. They whisper of magic and enchantment. Thank you for transporting me to a lovely place every time I read your words. 💐
I love poetry, which can glorify even the pernicious! But their in lies its beauty.
I agree with Somali…such a wild imagination that fails to see the effects of ‘savouring tobacco’…but then my mind speaks…’isn’t love blind?’
Memories seem dear despite their ‘insanity.’
I think our sense of smell and fragrances bring up ever more acute our memories Maniparna.. .. I often associate the smell of certain pipe tobacco with the memory of my Grandfather.. 🙂 xx
Brilliant bittersweet poem, Mani. Sometimes they thinking about certain moments bring back certain memories, but other times they also tug at the heart – love lost and found in memory, and you realise things will never be the same again. Love your poetry as usual 🙂
Nice verses…and Maniparna, the header pic is beautiful and the readers are taken on the flights of fantasy with the canopy of trees providing umbrage to the delighted souls!
That’s such a wonderful description for the picture. I learnt the word “umbrage”…it’s new to me.. 😀 Thank you…
The picture was taken during my visit to this place…

Maniparna, lovely and nostalgic. Reminds me of a boyfriend and a little of how much I loved my Dad, too. ❤
The moon poem was intriguing and changed the role of howling wolves to silent ones! 🙂
