Leaf

There is an eternal love, between the sun and leaf
Whispering an exotic song entwining in love
Shimmering in happiness, verdant beauty
Cock-a-hoop as they play, softly
With the beaming sun rays.
Transcending the mundane
Into ethereal, turning their
Face to the sun.

  14. Beautiful poem about leaves. And what a fitting shot to go along with it. The rays of sun softly falling over the leaves, giving the photo a soft touch. “Cock-a-hoop” – that’s a phrase I haven’t heard in a while, but you used it very well. Leaves are always usually standing tall and strong, not minding the glare of the sun 🙂
