The sun was about to set
The sky was singing the last paeans
Clouds were rimmed with golden hue
Overcasting the natural blue.
A journey was done
Another had just begun
The time in between
Was luminous from within.
So many miles I have crossed
So many more I shall though
A fresh start, every day
Every moment, afresh, anew.

Beautiful poem. You have captured the eternal cyclical aspect of nature and life so well. As Tennyson says in the Brook, “For men may come and men may go but I go on forever”.

Thank you so much, Anoop. I don’t know whether it would be a win or not because it seems I’m a total failure when it comes to acquiring votes (no hope as a politician 😥 ) But, the greatest thing is the support and love which I’ve got from my friends and readers…. 🙂

Maniparna, you beautifully stated the essence: Live in the moment. I don’t know why but it reminded me of Gulzar’s poem from the movie Anand: “Maut tu ek kavita hai.”
All the best for the contest. 🙂
