An Eternal Journey

1-HOLI 038

The sun was about to set
The sky was singing the last paeans
Clouds were rimmed with golden hue
Overcasting the natural blue.

A journey was done
Another had just begun
The time in between
Was luminous from within.

So many miles I have crossed
So many more I shall though
A fresh start, every day
Every moment, afresh, anew.

  8. A beautiful description of twilight, the time in between the sunset and dark, with a part of the journey over and many miles more to go. Congratulations for the nomination in the Top Ten blogs in the ‘Personal’ category, and of course you have my vote. Best wishes.🙂

  9. Brilliant Maniparna! I love sunsets, I love the range of emotions in a sunset or a sunrise and this poem is a great tribute to place to the contest. Wishing you the very best🙂

  10. Maniparna, you beautifully stated the essence: Live in the moment. I don’t know why but it reminded me of Gulzar’s poem from the movie Anand: “Maut tu ek kavita hai.”

All the best for the contest.🙂
