  2. Hmmm a sweet reminder i am still the king when it comes to writing haiku 😛
    you and anoop always liked some of my posts that are put just for the sake of it.Thank you and like i said that day you had the option of explaining or not explaining what a haiku is to me.so do you still believe explaining about haiku to me that day was a good idea 😛

    When I received the notice that you have posted a haiku on ‘crow’ i was like crow par kya likha hoga ??
    Now MANIPARNA its haiku like this which make people, who were previously comfortable being lazy, to try their hands in it …………..its lines like this ,which are to be blamed for our loss of sukh-chain over Haikus.Grrrrrrrrrrrr ..

  22. As always, your delicate touch works so well. It is not any branch, or any leaf, or indeed any autumn. I think you did so well delaying the crow to the last line, and your perspective of the leaf falling in love is unique,and multiple. It is also quite beautiful in that uniqueness, the symbolism and of course the meaning an idea – and why not! There is something immensely attractive about looking out of the window and seeing the leaves drop now, falling in love, and brings a whole new perspective. Of course the crow soaring is the opposite; but the crow soaring is majestic as well as dark, and used in this way sums much about zen philosophy and the interconnection of everything, in a much better way than a text would. A very nice haiku – all the more so because I think movement in a haiku is always such a nice feature, and here we have the falling, and the soaring, creating such distance and unlimited horizons: suddenly the leaf is so very, very small, seen from far above by the crow’s eye. A poet who writes which such insight and vision is always intriguing.

  28. The crow is one of my favourite creatures, dating back to watching the movie THE CROW, and it intensified after reading THE RAVEN.
    I highly recommend the movie if you haven’t watched it yet 😀
    The Crow, death, darkness, afterlife, falling leaves, season of autumn – nicely connects 🙂
