like translucent silk
misty moistness of her eyes
whispered to his heart
The prompt this time at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai was inspired by a short ‘story ‘ or parable written by Khalil (or Kahlil) Gibran. The story is impregnated with deep wisdom but I could not resist myself to seek my inspiration from one of my favourite poems by Kahlil , A Lover’s Call XXVII , especially by the lines :
Do you recollect our sitting in the shade of the
Branches, sheltering ourselves from Humanity, as the ribs
Protect the divine secret of the heart from injury?
Remember you the trails and forest we walked, with hands
Joined, and our heads leaning against each other, as if
We were hiding ourselves within ourselves?
Beautiful and lovely 🙂

Maniparna you are the person who taught me haiku so actually this is little tough for me.Did you meant nature alone or a girl or wife after bathing or washing face the the water droplets getting stuck on her eyebrows and it speaking or expressing some sort of shyness to her lover or husband in the morning.i felt it that way.did i made it complex?anyway your imagination is really good 🙂

Sherin, it would be an exaggeration to say I taught you haiku…you’ve such a nice skill for the poetic form..you do it nicely…I’ve only introduced the form to you 🙂
And a poet’s creation can draw different interpretations…. the more , the merrier… 🙂 I liked the way you’ve described those three lines… great .. 🙂

Oh dear, that is intensely beautiful…I honestly was wondering if you could write a nice haiku around ‘mist’ when I opened your blog. Your view of nature, and aesthetic eye for history and architecture I admire, but I thought you might not replicate the quality for mist. Wrong. This haiku shows such emotional intensity.
