Teaser # 1
After surviving a horrific car accident twelve years ago, that claimed the lives of her mother and brother, heiress to the multi-billion dollar Montgomery Empire, Evangeline, promised never to go back to the city filled with memories of her tragic past. However, after an unexpected event, Evangeline reluctantly finds herself back in New York City.
Since the accident, Evangeline has feared the media attention that comes with having the Montgomery name, and would give everything up to bring back her loved ones. Delicate and camera shy, the last person she needs in her life is New York Yankees hotshot, Ryan Fox.
Teaser # 2
“From the moment you walked into my life, none of those things mattered to me anymore. Jeez, I haven’t even been with anyone since you. I haven’t wanted too. You’re all I see, you’re all I crave. It’s like I’m possessed.” -Ryan Fox
Teaser # 3
Life led them to one another, but will further events and opening up about their past bring them closer, or tear them apart and have them sliding into darkness all over again?
Thank you 🙂 I’m slightly nervous to be honest. This is the first time I’ve written steamy, naughty scenes so I’m always worried that no one will like my book. Then there is also the fear of what my mother will think of me once she decides to read it. Haha, she knows I’m far from innocent but this will probably shock her!
2 . I would like to know how this all began..is there any particular incident or inspiration behind portraying a character like Evangeline, the protagonist, and Ryan ?
Ryan came first. His character was inspired by a male friend of mine blended in with a few favorite TV show characters, including a cartoon series believe it or not! I chose baseball because of my high school crush on Alex Rodriguez, haha. Evangeline was a little more challenging to portray since she wasn’t inspired by anyone in particular. I wanted a kindhearted and quiet girl who had enough sass to handle Ryan’s wicked ways.
3 . Unlike your ‘Moonlight‘ series ,”Slide” ( according to the teasers) , deals with incidents which most readers would be able to relate with, what made you change the genre from fantasy to New Adult Contemporary ?
I have a habit of only being able to write what is currently on my mind. The Moonlight Series was the first (which, I’m thankful is all planned out and mostly written!) but then Slide came along and Mr. Fox just wouldn’t leave me alone. In short, I had no other choice but write his story.
4. What do you think about the role of media in our modern life? Does really a human being change when she or he is over -exposed to media ?
I think it all depends on the type of person. Some are able to handle it better than others. I can imagine how difficult it must be to try and remain the same person when your private life is constantly printed in the papers.
5. Do you have any plan for a sequel of ‘Slide Broken #1’ ?..as the name has a cue for it….
Yes I do!! Although, Slide is a standalone book in the series, the next book will introduce readers to new characters, and then the rest will feature other characters from Slide. 😉
6. Last but not the least, please tell us about your favourite books and your inspirations.
Oh ! It’s hard to choose!! I’ll try to name a few. The Stranger I married is still a favourite from Sylvia Day. Abbi Glines , While It Lasts . Let The Right One In , by John Ajvide Lindqvist and also Vampire Academy, by Richelle Mead. My inspirations are probably all the fellow Indie Authors out there and also my Aussie Authors.
7.Best of luck for ‘ Slide‘ and thanks a lot…you’re amazing!
Thank you for having me !! 🙂
